Accounting Society
The Dallas Baptist University Accounting Society exists to offer a place for members to share Christian fellowship
and encouragement, to hear interesting and educational speakers from the accounting profession, and to help one
another achieve their goals in a Christ-centered quality forum.
American Association of Christian Counselors
AACC's purpose is to provide a professional organization to help students understand and experience the value of
participation in AACC early in their careers.
Christians in the Visual Arts
CIVA's concern is to define and expand the relationship between art and faith. Our purpose is to encourage Christians
in the visual arts to develop their particular callings to the highest professional artistic level possible.
Communication Outlet for Multimedia Association
The specific purposes of this organization are to provide opportunities for students in using and learning
skills in video, radio, print graphics, writing, photography, assisting in productions, and using these skills
in areas needed around campus and the community.
Dallas Baptist Music Educators
The purpose of Dallas Baptist Music Educators is to network with full-time music educators, attend workshops and
clinics, and participate in activities that prepare the student for a career in music education.
History Society
The purposes of the DBU History Society are to encourage the study and appreciation of history and to foster the
application of history as a service to the entire campus.
Mu Delta Alpha
Mu Delta Alpha provides an opportunity for students with similar professional interests and goals to associate and
become informed of current developments in the fields of medicine, dentistry, and allied health sciences.
Pre-Law Society
The purposes of this organization are to promote awareness and interest in contemporary legal issues, and to provide
DBU students with opportunities to learn more about Law School, the admissions process, and various legal professions.
Sigma Tau Delta
Sigma Tau Delta is the International English Honor Society. The Society strives to confer distinction for high achievement
in English language and literature in undergraduate, graduate, and professional studies; provide, through its local chapters,
cultural stimulation on college campuses and promote interest in literature and the English language in surrounding communities;
foster all aspects of the discipline of English, including literature, language, and writing; promote exemplary character and good
fellowship among its members; exhibit high standards of academic excellence; and serve society by fostering literacy.
Student Education Association
This association is a pre-professional organization for students preparing to teach. This group promotes awareness of
professional teacher organizations, professional responsibilities, and effective teaching strategies as an auxiliary to the
College of Education. Attendance is a requirement for education majors.
Grammy U
This program for Music Business majors is designed to enhance the academic curriculum with exclusive access to recording
industry professionals such as major recording artists, producers, and songwriters, to offer an "out of classroom" perspective
to the recording industry. Students are given the opportunity to learn from and network with industry professionals.
Sigma Psi Omega
Sigma Psi Omega aims to promote fellowship and learning opportunities for students majoring and minoring in Sociology or Psychology.
