Amanda Vines PRESIDENT
Hello, biology friends! My name is Amanda Vines. I’m a senior from Rowlett, Texas, majoring in Cell Biology. After I get my B.S. from Dallas Baptist University, I hope to go to graduate school to get my Ph.D. and do research in genetics or molecular biology, Lord willing. When I’m not studying, I enjoy reading, cross stitching, watching classic movies, and listening to show tunes and worship songs. I’m so excited to serve as your president and see what our second year will bring for TriBeta!
Barron Sanders VICE PRESIDENT
Hello, friends. My name is Barron Sanders I am a senior biology major here at DBU. I am 21 years old, and I grew up in Northwest Arkansas. I moved to Texas in 2006, and I have had a love-hate relationship with this state ever since. In the future, I plan to go to medical school to study rural medicine. I look forward to serving TriBeta this year in the role of vice president.
Robyn Cloutier SECRETARY
Hey, everyone! I am Robyn Cloutier, the secretary of TriBeta. I moved to Texas from Alberta, Canada, in 1996 and have been Southern ever since! I am currently in my third year as a biology major at DBU with hopes of going to medical school. I am so excited for the future of our chapter of TriBeta and am excited to serve all of you.
Madeleine Newby-Estrella TREASURER
Hey there, fellow biology scholars! My name is Leine Newby-Estrella, and I’m a junior at DBU. This school is such a blessing for those looking to enrich their education in a nurturing, Christ-centered environment, especially alongside fellow God-loving, aspiring scientists influenced by amazing faculty! I am a Cell Biology major and am getting double minors in Chemistry and Kinesiology. Once I graduate, I plan to go to medical school to become an orthopedic surgeon. Ultimately, I would like to get both my MD/PhD sometime after leaving DBU, as I know the Lord has called me to medicine and scientific research. I also play hockey for the school, and love to figure skate, play piano, listen to music, go on adventures, and of course—study! I am so grateful to be the treasurer for the Omicron Kappa Chapter of TriBeta! I look forward to doing my part towards making our new chapter a strong and successful organization. Stay tuned for all the exciting fundraisers we’ll be doing this semester!
Zachary Ross HISTORIAN
Hello, my name is Zach. I am a senior undergraduate and will be graduating in the spring with hopes of going on to medical school. DBU is the 27th school I have been to, and it is my favorite so far. I enjoy outdoor stuff, reading, music, and studying biology. My goal in life is to do as much for God’s kingdom as I can. I am looking forward to serving as your historian! Go TriBeta!
Joy Nettleton EVENTS COORDINATOR
Well, hello there! I am Joy Nettleton, your Events Coordinator! I am a psychology major in my junior year here at DBU. I am very excited to plan our events and join you all in your scientific adventures. I am a student worker in the Health Services office on campus, I am a member of Zeta Chi, and I volunteer at Cook Children’s Hospital as a Child Life Specialist for the Oncology department with a special emphasis on teenagers.
